Okutu beads
Okutu means “butterfly” in Dangbe language.
Waist beads is a type of jewelry worn around the waist or on the hips originating from West Africa. They are traditionally worn by women as a symbol of beauty, femininity, fertility, well-being or maturity.
We wanted to merge the idea of African beads with our logo to create belts and necklaces.
